Description: This is a 8-hour shift 5 days each week, with the shift schedule being from 08:00-17:30, total of 40 hours per week.. Registered Dietician with 2 professional references. Work Location: 6001 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH, 43213. Only Travelers are considered who are staying above 60 Miles from the facility. The all-inclusive hourly non-local pay rate for this position is $45.86/hr, encompassing a taxable component of $28.28/hr, along with a per diem of $17.58/hr.\nSummary:

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist Internal Medicine Missouri state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
- One year of work experience as Gastroenterologist
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:
PATIENT CARE
1. Meets hospital, department, and regulatory standards for providing nutrition screening, assessments, and reassessments for assigned units according to established standards and policies.
2. Performs a nutrition-focused physical exam on patients and makes a nutrition diagnosis along with a treatment plan.
3. Uses evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to individualize medical nutrition therapy, inclusive of oral, enteral, parenteral interventions based on clinical competency.
4. Documents using standardized language from Nutrition Care Process Terminology manual, communicates initiation and progress of care plans.
5. Identifies and provides age-specific nutrition care to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families.
6. Provides education/or counseling to patients, family and/or group setting as per assessed need, request, or consult.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
1. Provides nutrition and other related education to Food Service Staff, medical, nursing, dietetic interns and/or allied health as requested by RHM or as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Leader.
2. Advises FANS department/colleague on patient nutritional care, food allergies, modified diets based on the Nutrition Care Manual.
3. Participates with the promotion of health or provision of nutrition education/information for the community/retail space, in collaboration with FANS leadership or as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Leader.
PERFORMANCE & QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
1. Completes all required/assigned reports in an accurate and timely manner.
2. Actively participates in department specific and/or hospital wide teams and committees as appropriate such as patient satisfaction, interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement as appropriate.
3. Keeps current on nutrition research and incorporates into daily practice.
