Practice Setting

• Inpatient hospital with 13 ORs and day surgery center
• Back-up coverage and support staff on-site
• Assignments may rotate to L&D or surgery center based on skills
• First few shifts in Main OR

Schedule

• Multiple weeks still open June-December
• Typical hours: 6:30am-3:30pm
• Call unlikely - typically covered by perm staff
• Block scheduling - choose dates that fit your calendar

Procedures and Cases

• General cases; potential for cardiac, thoracic, and small peds
• Standard anesthetic procedures only
• Ratio: 3 MDs : 1 CRNA - no supervision duties

Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active TX license or IMLC accepted
• Valid DEA required
• Must have 24 months of recent case logs

Credentialing Requirements

• 30-45 days for full credentialing
• June start is most realistic
